Les immeubles du lotissement de Gontaut-Biron ont été construits entre 1932 et 1936. Cet ensemble occupe une partie de l'îlot, bordé par le square du Grand-Rond, les allées Forain-François -Verdier et la rue de la Brasserie. Le terrain était auparavant occupé par une brasserie.
Description
Jean Valette réalise au 2 square Boulingrin un immeuble de rapport comprenant un rez-de-chaussée surélevé et quatre étages avec deux appartements par niveau distribués par un escalier central. Les pièces de réception ouvrent par un balcon sur le jardin de Grand Rond. La façade intérieure, en pierre et brique, se compose à chaque étage d'un grand balcon compris entre des bow-windows. Au dernier étage, le balcon se transforme en loggia flanquée de deux colonnes cannelées en pierre et les bow-windows en petites terrasses. La porte cochère et les gardes-corps en fer forgé adoptent un style Art Déco. La façade arrière ouvre sur une courette.

Description
Jean Valette designed at 2 square Boulingrin an apartment building comprising a raised ground floor and four storeys with two apartments per level served by a central staircase. The reception rooms open by means of a balcony onto the garden of Grand Rond. The interior façade, in stone and brick, is composed at each storey of a large balcony set between bow-windows. On the top storey, the balcony becomes a loggia flanked by two fluted stone columns and the bow-windows become small terraces. The porte cochère and the iron railings adopt an Art Deco style. The rear façade opens onto a small courtyard.
