History
A castle has existed at Cambon since the 14th century. It retained its medieval appearance until the middle of the 18th century, the period when substantial works were carried out: the simple square keep attached to a small dwelling on the north side is enclosed within a vast construction; the ensemble of façades and roofs is remodelled; outbuildings and a porch are built to the west of the castle and the gardens are laid out in terraces in front of the west façades. Since then, the estate has globally retained its aspect of the 18th century.
