Historique
Ancienne forteresse médiévale dont il subsiste d'importants vestiges (donjon carré, tours) et qui a été entièrement remaniée à l'époque classique. Le château est formé de deux corps de bâtiments perpendiculaires délimitant une cour rectangulaire : un corps de logis et un commun. La cour est fermée par un mur percé d'un porche face à un pont surmontant des douves. Cette façade est encadrée de deux tours. La cour intérieure comprend également le second commun, la chapelle et le porche du 18e siècle. Ce porche se compose d'un petit pavillon rectangulaire à deux niveaux. Au rez-de-chaussée, il est traversé par un passage voûté en plein cintre. Du côté extérieur, l'ornementation de la porte comporte deux pilastres non cannelés surmontés de chapiteaux reliés entre eux par un bandeau orné en son centre d'un cartouche comportant une date encadrée de deux petits triangles. Sous le toit court une corniche de briques polychromes ornée de modillons.

History
Former medieval fortress of which substantial remains subsist (square keep, towers) and which was entirely remodelled in the classical period. The castle is formed of two perpendicular blocks of buildings delimiting a rectangular courtyard: a main dwelling and an outbuilding. The courtyard is closed by a wall pierced with a porch facing a bridge spanning moats. This façade is framed by two towers. The inner courtyard also comprises the second outbuilding, the chapel and the 18th-century porch. This porch consists of a small rectangular pavilion with two levels. At ground level, it is traversed by a passage with a round arch vault. On the exterior side, the ornamentation of the door comprises two unfluted pilasters topped with capitals connected to each other by a band decorated at its centre with a cartouche bearing a date framed by two small triangles. Below the roof runs a cornice of polychrome bricks decorated with modillions.
