Historique
Edifice roman du 12e siècle composé de quatre travées sans bas-côtés. Le choeur, circulaire à l'intérieur, et à cinq pans à l'extérieur, est voûté en cul-de-four reposant sur un mur avec trois absidioles sans saillie extérieure. Les archivoltes des arcatures qui décorent chacune des faces sont ornées de sculpture, ainsi que les corbeaux de la corniche. Un porche ouvert, d'une époque plus ancienne, est bâti contre l'entrée latérale. Il est élevé sur piliers et colonnes qui ont été remblayés jusqu'à la mi-hauteur des chapiteaux. Les chapiteaux portent des sculptures d'animaux et des devises. Des inscriptions sont gravées sur les marches de la porte d'entrée byzantine. History
Romanesque building of the 12th century composed of four bays without aisles. The choir, circular on the interior, and five-sided on the exterior, is vaulted in a half-dome resting on a wall with three apsidioles without external projection. The archivolts of the arcatures which decorate each of the faces are ornamented with sculpture, as are the corbels of the cornice. An open porch, from an earlier period, is built against the lateral entrance. It is raised on pillars and columns which have been filled in up to mid-height of the capitals. The capitals bear sculptures of animals and mottoes. Inscriptions are engraved on the steps of the Byzantine entrance door. This door is furnished with ironwork of the 11th or 12th century, in wrought and chased iron. The building was enlarged to the north by three chapels built in the 15th century. The bell tower, raised on the third bay, is also of the 12th century. The whole building rests on a mound raised above the surrounding square. On the interior, wall paintings of the 14th and 16th centuries.
