Cet immeuble dresse sa façade sur la rue Georges Clémenceau, percée au 18e siècle à l'emplacement des remparts de la ville. La frange d'immeubles formant l'alignement ouest de la rue, constitue le dernier rideau de constructions anciennes face aux quartiers neufs. Dans la cage d'escalier, la ferronnerie à motifs d'entrelacs possède une main courante en bois rajoutée probablement au 19e siècle. Il s'agit là, en développement, d'une des plus grandes cages du 18e siècle à Clermont. En façade, l'avant-corps, en légère avancée, présente un chambranle saillant nu à fronton cintré, accosté de chaînes de bossages amorties par des modillons à volutes feuillagées qui portent la corniche d'appui du premier étage. Baies du rez-de-chaussées et fenêtres, aux chambranles saillants, comportent des plates-bandes légèrement cintrées à clefs nues.

History
This building displays its façade on the rue Georges Clémenceau, pierced in the 18th century in place of the ramparts of the city. The strip of buildings forming the west alignment of the street, constitutes the last curtain of old buildings facing the new districts. In the staircase, the ironwork with interlace motifs has a wooden handrail added probably in the 19th century. This is, in development, one of the largest 18th-century staircases in Clermont. On the façade, the avant-corps, in slight projection, presents a projecting plain chambranel with curved pediment, flanked by chains of rustication terminated by modillions with foliaged scrolls which carry the cornice of the first-floor sill. Openings of the ground floor and windows, with projecting chambranel, have slightly curved straight lintels with bare keystones.
