History

This building preserves, on a façade remade for 2/3, the old entrance door with a threshold raised by two steps and framed by a moulding with a cyma reversa. Each jamb is decorated with a pilaster mounted on a pedestal which rises, on either side of a band of the lintel, up to a projecting horizontal moulure crowning the latter and underlining an impost defended by a wrought-iron grille and opening beneath a basket-handle arch profiled, above a cyma reversa, a band, a curved band, a fillet and a quarter round. To the left of this door is seen the start of a basket-handle arch of a vanished shop. On the first floor remains the pilaster of the mullion of a vanished old window. The ground-floor door gives access to a barrel-vaulted corridor, which has retained its paving of pebbles. This corridor leads to a spiral staircase and to an interior courtyard from which projects the turret containing the staircase. On the upper floors, the staircase opens by chamfered doors and gives access to a gallery over the courtyard.
