History
Leaning against the old curtain wall is a house featuring a polygonal staircase turret from the 15th century. This tower is located at the site of the old fortified gate that gave access to the fortress, on the north-west side. It is a hexagonal turret with cut angles, containing a spiral staircase. The west face is flanked at the level of the first floor by a small structure supported by wooden beams, above a passage giving access to the Church square. This passage was originally vaulted with a round arch; this vault supported a fairly high structure which has been demolished, of which there remain notably the vestiges of a Renaissance fireplace.
