Historique
Cette ancienne maison forte, médiévale peut-être à l'origine, commandait sans doute les péages du Gers. Rendue plus habitable au 16e siècle, elle fut largement modifiée à la fin du 18e siècle (1783) par la construction, sur la façade nord, de deux arcades superposées. La grande salle rectangulaire est flanquée, aux angles est et ouest, d'une tour carrée qui fut décapitée. Le rez-de-chaussée surélevé a été en partie enterré du côté sud. Des bâtiments ont été ensuite surajoutés, en particulier au 19e siècle. Sur la façade ouest, les décrochements, les différences d'appareil, quelques détails rendent compte des nombreux remaniements effectués.

History
This former strong house, possibly medieval in origin, doubtless controlled the tolls of the Gers. Made more habitable in the 16th century, it was largely modified at the end of the 18th century (1783) by the construction, on the north façade, of two superimposed arcades. The large rectangular hall is flanked, at the east and west angles, by a square tower which was beheaded. The raised ground floor has been partly buried on the south side. Buildings were subsequently added, particularly in the 19th century. On the west façade, the offsets, the differences in material, some details account for the numerous alterations carried out.
