Historique
Les seules parties anciennes sont le chevet roman composé d'une abside et de deux absidioles, sur plan tréflé, et le clocher carré bâti sur le choeur. L'absidiole nord a été légèrement exhaussée, probablement après le pillage du 16e siècle par les Calvinistes, au détriment de son couronnement. Le choeur est orné d'un décor stuqué du 18e siècle. Le clocher, massif et carré, comporte le même couronnement que le chevet, et les angles nord-est et sud-est sont abattus sur le tiers de la hauteur. L'église était un prieuré dépendant de l'abbaye bénédictine de Saint-Sever. En 1308, le prieuré de Saint-Pierre du Mont est rattaché à l'église de la Madeleine, de Mont-de-Marsan. L'église fut, depuis ses origines, le siège d'une confrérie des bateliers de la Midouze.

History
The only ancient parts are the Romanesque chevet composed of an apse and two absidioles, on trefoil plan, and the square bell tower built on the choir. The north absidiole has been slightly raised, probably after the pillaging of the 16th century by the Calvinists, to the detriment of its crown. The choir is ornamented with a stucco decoration of the 18th century. The bell tower, massive and square, comprises the same crown as the chevet, and the north-east and south-east angles are cut off for a third of the height. The church was a priory dependent on the Benedictine abbey of Saint-Sever. In 1308, the priory of Saint-Pierre du Mont is attached to the church of the Madeleine, of Mont-de-Marsan. The church was, from its origins, the seat of a confraternity of boatmen of the Midouze.
