Au 19e siècle, l'ingénieur Panay dota la ville d'un ensemble néo-classique comprenant plusieurs bâtiments. Les anciennes écuries font partie du vaste programme architectural. Panay présenta les plans en 1807 ; les travaux s'achevèrent en 1816. L'entrée de l'édifice, sur plan à peu près carré, s'effectue par une porte encadrée de pilastres massifs, à corniches très saillantes, surmontée d'un arc plein cintre aux claveaux soulignés par des lignes de refends. Le côté sud est rythmé par des baies aux formes variées, coiffées de briques. La cour intérieure est un rappel de ces deux façades.

History
In the 19th century, the engineer Panay provided the town with a neo-classical ensemble comprising several buildings. The old stables are part of the vast architectural programme. Panay presented the plans in 1807; the works were completed in 1816. The entrance to the edifice, of approximately square plan, is effected by a door framed by massive pilasters, with very prominent cornices, surmounted by a round arch with voussoirs emphasised by lines of drafted margins. The south side is rhythmed by openings of varied forms, topped with bricks. The interior courtyard is a reflection of these two façades.
