Edifice construit vraisemblablement par l'architecte Jean Laclotte pour le négociant bordelais Barreyre. Vaste maison comportant deux corps de bâtiment, chacun double en profondeur, séparés par une cour, élevée de deux étages carrés et présentant la particularité unique de reposer, en ce qui concerne sa partie nord, sur un passage voûté d'arêtes qui correspond à l'aboutissement par un arc en anse de panier de la rue Barreyre. La partie sud plus étroite contient la cage d'escalier. Les étages préssentent trois travées de baies à linteau en arc segmentaire et garde-corps de fer forgé dans leur tiers inférieur. Une forte corniche coiffe cette élévation.

History
Building presumably constructed by architect Jean Laclotte for Bordeaux merchant Barreyre. A vast house comprising two building blocks, each double in depth, separated by a courtyard, raised on two square storeys and presenting the unique particularity of resting, as far as its northern part is concerned, on a passage with a groined vault which corresponds to the termination by a basket-handle arch of rue Barreyre. The narrower southern part contains the stairwell. The storeys present three bays with segmental-arch lintels and wrought-iron balustrades in their lower third. A strong cornice crowns this elevation.
