La forme à peu près circulaire de l'enceinte indiquerait que la construction primitive remonte à une époque très reculée. La tradition veut que le château ait été détruit au 13e siècle et relevé aussitôt de ses ruines. Il ne reste plus qu'un bâtiment, une tour ronde dérasée contenant encore trois pièces superposées, une autre tour éventrée sur la face intérieure. History
The approximately circular shape of the enclosure would suggest that the primitive construction dates back to a very remote period. Tradition has it that the castle was destroyed in the 13th century and immediately restored from its ruins. There remains only one building, a truncated round tower still containing three superimposed rooms, another tower gutted on the inner face. Tears in the remains of the wall indicate the location of a third tower and it can be supposed that a fourth existed. The moats were to have been filled with water and fed by an important spring which flows into the Garonne after having supplied a washing house. The openings of the remaining building have been modified in the 15th and 17th centuries. The ensemble of the ruins forms an irregular polygonal surface approximating a circle.
