Historique

History
The château and park are built in 1917 for François Thévenot, supplier of material during the war of 14-18. The water tower is the first known architectural achievement of Le Corbusier. The reinforced concrete structure includes a panoramic rest room. The estate also comprises a landscape park offering a water course of Japanese inspiration. The whole is adorned with statuary realised by two artists working in Rome who created, in marble or bronze, copies of antiques and Renaissance works. In the second half of the 20th century, the estate is subdivided and the water tower left unused.
