The Finnish Heritage Agency's description

Asemaa laajennettiin huomattavasti 1911. Asuinrakennukset valmistuivat 1908.

Pitäjänmäki railway station is a railway station environment of the Helsinki–Turku coastal line that has survived well in the appearance of its construction period. In addition to the station building, the complex includes two residential buildings with outbuildings and a linden avenue running through the station area.

Pitäjänmäki station represents the railway architecture of the late 1890s, which can be read mainly as National Romanticism. The station was extended in 1911 and has largely kept its exterior appearance from that time. In the park-like station area stands a representative and architecturally exceptional residential barracks of four households, with Jugend tones in its cladding and windows, as well as an outbuilding and a cellar. Along Pitäjänmäentie stands a double guard house with outbuildings, which also served as the residence of the stationmaster.

Pitäjänmäki station was originally a halt on the Helsinki-Turku line, whose buildings were completed to designs by Bruno Granholm in 1903, at the same time as the railway connection. The station was greatly extended in 1911. The residential buildings were completed in 1908.

As traffic increased, the halt at Pitäjänmäki was upgraded to a class III station in the 1920s.
