Liberty Bell Replica

For the 1950 US Independence Savings Bond Drive, the US government ordered one Liberty Bell replica for each state. Cast in France, this bell was transported around the state on a flatbed truck to promote the sale of savings bonds. The bell, along with a modest granite marker, was originally located at the Wiley Post Building in Oklahoma City. The bell was later moved to the grounds of the Oklahoma History Center. The granite marker has been replaced by an interpretive sign.
