John F. Kennedy Memorial

Le Flore County · in Big Cedar at intersection of US-259 and OK-63

On October 29, 1961, President John F. Kennedy visited Big Cedar for the dedication of US Highway 259. President Kennedy was a guest of Oklahoma Senator Robert S. Kerr. A monument to commemorate President Kennedy’s visit was erected by the Knights of Columbus Federation of Oklahoma in 1966 and deeded to the Oklahoma Historical Society.
