Site of the Murder of Dr. John Marsh

Dr. Marsh practiced medicine throughout the state, driving from his home near Brentwood. Dr. Marsh purchased Rancho Medanos in 1837. Dr. Marsh was murdered by ruffians here while on his way home from Martinez September 24, 1856.
