Campo Stone Store
Built in 1868 by Luman H. and Silas E. Gaskill. This historic stone store, post office, bank and stage station was the scene of the famous bandit raid of December 5, 1875.
1971 register text, presented as a historical document. It uses the period's terms for Native people; the state's landmark listings still carry most of this wording, and the California Office of Historic Preservation maintains the program's current texts.
