Indian military post, 1854 to 1866, Nomi Lackee Indian Reservation, controlled over 300 to 2,500 militant Indians. U.S. Survey of 1858 showed 25,139.71 acres to the reservation. Indians moved to Round Valley in 1866.

1971 register text, presented as a historical document. It uses the period's terms for Native people; the state's landmark listings still carry most of this wording, and the California Office of Historic Preservation maintains the program's current texts.
