An isolated house on the N side of a minor road S of Cae Mair housing estate and approximately 150m W of the municipal cemetery.
History
A late C18 or early C19 Baron Hill estate cottage built close to one of the drives to Baron Hill.
Exterior
A 1½-storey cottage of whitened rubble stone, renewed slate roof and brick stack to the R. It has a central boarded door, within an open wooden porch with latticework sides, and 4-pane horned sashes. Two gabled roof dormers have similar sashes. The L gable end has an inserted window to the L. The R gable end has an added lean-to beneath a small attic window. Reason for designation
Listed for its special architectural interest as a small estate cottage, of a type once common in the area but now rarely well preserved, retaining definite C19 character.
