Location
Situated some 350m NE of Betws Lleucu church on S side of road to Llangeitho.
History
Early C19 cob-walled house, with stone additional wing of c1880.
Exterior
Colourwashed cob walls on colourwashed rubble stone plinth with slate roof and stone end stacks. Two-storey, three-window range offset to right. 9-pane square windows above with slate sills, 12-pane sashes below with slate sills . Ledged door.
Addition to right, at right angles, is of colourwashed stone with slate roof and brick N end stack. Two-storey, two-window range, brick window heads. Two 4-pane sashes above, 2-panel door and altered window below.
Interior
Ground floor has four oak ceiling beams, chamfered joists, 6-panel door to parlour and plank door to kitchen. Stick baluster stair to first floor which has oak collar trusses the feet scarfed onto oak wall-posts, the collars bolted.
Reason for designation
Listed as one of the best surviving examples of a two-storey earth-walled house, with scarfed roof trusses.
