In triangular garden of Roath Branch Library.
History
Probably from 1760's, said to be in original position. One mile (0.6 kilometres) from old High Street town hall of Cardiff, demolished 1861.
Exterior
Partially buried in library garden. Stone mile stone with cambered head. Worn inscription said to read "From the Town Hall in Cardiff 1 Mile".
Reason for designation
A rare survival in Cardiff of C18 milestone.
