Cadw's description

Situated on SE corner of Priory Street.

C19, possibly incorporating two c1800 houses.

Bank building in painted stucco with slate roof hipped at SW angle. Three storeys, long five-window front of plate glass sashes in simple architraves. Narrow string course over ground floor and second floor sill band. First floor windows are 4-pane and longer than ground floor windows. Ground floor has pair of windows to centre. Entrance porch on W end wall and beyond that, a big three-storey later Cl9 canted bay window.

A photograph of cl900 shows that formerly there were paired doors in corniced doorcases to ground floor centre, first floor windows had cornices and upper floor had cornice and parapet, carried round to W end stack. An l873 advertisement refers to a newly erected dwelling house now in occupation of London and Provincial Bank, l4 rooms including sitting room with bay window.
