Omschrijving
R.K.Kerk van St.Petrus Banden. Gotische kruiskerk met driebeukig schip, dwarspand, koor en vrijstaand houten klokkenhuis. Het koor is opgetrokken van baksteen, met lagen tufsteen, in het begin van de 15e eeuw. Dwarspand en schip uit het begin van de 16e eeuw, de gevels van het dwarspand met rijk gedetailleerde steunberen en door beeldnissen en pinakels versierde toppen. Het schip is pseudobasilicaal en wordt verlicht door dakkapellen om de andere travee, elk met een trapgeveltje. In 1888-1893 gerestaureerd door C. Franssen, die de twee westelijke traveeën, bij de instorting van de toren in 1650 verwoest, herbouwde. Inwendig zuilen met zeer eenvoudige kapitelen, houten tongewelven met steekkappen, ribgewelven in het koor. Ten zuidwesten van de kerk het houten klokkenhuis, in 1669 gebouwd. Daarin een klok, in 1367 gegoten door Jacobus van Helmond.

Description
R.C. Church of St. Petrus Banden. Gothic cross church with three-aisled nave, transept, choir and free-standing wooden bell house. The choir is constructed of brick, with layers of tufa stone, in the early 15th century. Transept and nave from the early 16th century, the facades of the transept with richly detailed buttresses and tops decorated with sculptures and pinnacles. The nave is pseudo-basilical and is lit by roof dormers every other bay, each with a small stepped gable. Restored in 1888-1893 by C. Franssen, who rebuilt the two western bays, destroyed during the collapse of the tower in 1650. Interior columns with very simple capitals, wooden barrel vaults with quadripartite ribs, ribbed vaults in the choir. To the southwest of the church the wooden bell house, built in 1669. In it a bell, cast in 1367 by Jacobus van Helmond.
