Omschrijving
St. Lambertus, 1878-1880, J. Kayser. Uitgebreid 1907 en 1923 in dezelfde stijl. Driebeukige kruisbasiliek met transept ter hoogte van de zijbeuken. Rechtgesloten koor en zijkoren; alle eindgevels bekroond door trapgevels, die geleed worden door nissen. Het thans gepleisterde interieur heeft gelede pijlers en kruisribgewelven. De basilicale opzet spreekt uitwendig niet meer door de hoge zadeldaken op de brede zijbeuken. Toren met haakse steunberen en naaldspits naast de voorgevel. Vroeg werk van Kayser met invloeden van de Noord-Duitse baksteengotiek. Neogotisch hoogaltaar en triomfkruis. Verdere inventaris: een hardstenen doopvont; houten beelden: Madonna (XV A), H. Description
St. Lambertus, 1878-1880, J. Kayser. Expanded in 1907 and 1923 in the same style. Three-aisle cruciform basilica with transept at the level of the aisles. Straight-closed choir and side choirs; all end gables crowned by stepped gables, which are articulated by niches. The now-plastered interior has articulated piers and ribbed vaults. The basilical design is no longer evident externally through the high gabled roofs on the wide aisles. Tower with right-angled buttresses and spire beside the front gable. Early work of Kayser with influences from North German brick Gothic. Neogothic high altar and rood. Further inventory: a sandstone baptismal font; wooden figures: Madonna (first half 15th century), St. Ambrosius (first half 16th century); St. Willibrordus (second half 15th century), crucifix (16th century); panel paintings (first half 16th century); two scenes relating to St. Lambertus.
