Huis Appeltern.
Ten oosten van het dorp Appeltern aan de Maasdijk op het terrein van het middeleeuwse Huis Appeltern een HERENHUIS met verdieping en omlopend schilddak, van karakter begin 19e eeuw.
In het ten dele gepleisterde gebouw vensters met schuiframen, in de zuidgevel, drie gevelstenen: 1686 (gepolychromeerd), 1786, met alliantiewapen en een wapensteen zonder jaartal.
Ter weerszijden van het voorplein twee bouwhuizen, 18e eeuw, met pannen schilddaken.
Rond het kasteelterrein de historische aardwerken van de kasteelgracht met belendende visvijver, taluds en omwalling; deze laatste met klinkerweg en met eiken beplant.
Twee toegangshekken met vier (west) respectievelijk twee (oost) natuurstenen hekpijlers, eind 18e eeuw.

Description
Huis Appeltern.
East of the village of Appeltern on the Maasdijk on the site of the medieval Huis Appeltern a MANOR HOUSE with upper storey and surrounding hipped roof, in character of the early 19th century.
In the partly rendered building windows with sash windows, in the south gable, three facade stones: 1686 (polychrome), 1786, with alliance coat of arms and a coat of arms stone without date.
On either side of the forecourt two outbuildings, 18th century, with tiled hipped roofs.
Around the castle grounds the historic earthworks of the castle moat with adjoining fish pond, embankments and perimeter wall; the latter with clinker path and planted with oaks.
Two entrance gates with four (west) and two (east) respectively natural stone gate piers, late 18th century.
