De stadsgracht is als Singelgracht aan de west- en zuidzijde van de stad goed bewaard gebleven; de wallen en bastions zijn er in fraaie plantsoenen herschapen. Ook op het nog resterende deel van de wallen aan de noordoostzijde is een plantsoen aangelegd.

Description
The city moat has been well preserved as the Singelgracht on the west and south sides of the city; the ramparts and bastions have been transformed into fine public gardens. A public garden has also been laid out on the remaining section of the ramparts on the northeast side.
