Omschrijving
V.m.Rijks H.B.S. Bakstenen gebouw op L-vormige plattegrond in de eclectische trant van het derde kwart van de 19e eeuw, voltooid in 1867 en gebouwd naar het ontwerp van de gemeente-architect W.K.du Croix. De langgerekte hoofdvleugel aan de Paardenmarkt heeft een gevel met risalerende partijen en geblokte, gemetselde lisenen op de hoeken. Gepleisterde middenpartij met getoogde ingang. Voorts gepleisterde lisenen en kroonlijst met panelen en rozetversieringen. Getoogde parterrevensters en in de verdieping vensters met hoofdgestellen.

Description
Formerly Royal H.B.S. Brick building on L-shaped plan in the eclectic style of the third quarter of the 19th century, completed in 1867 and built according to the design of municipal architect W.K. du Croix. The elongated main wing on the Paardenmarkt has a facade with projecting sections and blocked, bonded cornices on the corners. Plastered central section with arched entrance.
