Omschrijving
Provenhuis van Nordingen. Het GEBOUW, dat in oorsprong teruggaat op het St. Maria Magdalenaklooster en in 1657 verbouwd werd voor de huidige bestemming bestaat uit drie, door zadeldaken gedekte vleugels die een binnenplaats omsluiten; de vierde zijde van de binnenplaats wordt afgesloten door het Hof van Sonoy. De vensters hebben fraai gemetselde ontlastingsbogen met forse natuurstenen aanzet- en sluitstenen. De zuidelijke vleugel aan de Nieuw Sloot draagt in het midden een gelede topgevel met klauwstukken van natuursteen; in deze gevel een cartouche (1656) met twee nissen met schildhoudende figuren. In de Lombardsteeg toegang met bovenlicht in een omlijsting van geblokte lisenen.

Description
Provence House of Nordingen. The BUILDING, which originally goes back to the St. Maria Magdalena convent and was rebuilt in 1657 for its present use consists of three wings covered with gabled roofs which enclose a courtyard; the fourth side of the courtyard is closed off by the Hof van Sonoy. The windows have finely laid discharge arches with substantial natural stone setting and closing stones. The southern wing on the Nieuw Sloot bears in the middle an articulated top gable with natural stone claw pieces; in this facade a cartouche (1656) with two niches with shield-bearing figures. In the Lombardsteeg entrance with fanlight in a frame of rusticated pilasters.
