Omschrijving
Diaconiehuis (Hof van Sonoy). Het gebouw, dat in oorsprong teruggaat op het St. Maria Magdalenaklooster en in 1744 voor de huidige bestemming werd ingericht omsluit met drie door zadeldaken gedekte vleugels een binnenplaats,waarvan de vierde zijde door een hek en een XVIIa natuurstenen poortje met pilasters en driehoekig fronton gescheiden wordt van de Nieuwe Sloot. De westelijke vleugel wordt gedekt door twee evenwijdige zadeldaken, die aan de zijde van de Nieuwe Sloot eindigen tegen twee gevels: de linkse een trapgevel met pinakels op gebeeldhouwde kraagsteentjes en geprofileerde natuurstenen waterlijsten, de rechtse een gemutileerde trapgevel met restanten van een laatgotisch waterpoortje en ontlastingsbogen van vroegere vensters. In de hoek tussen west- en noordvleugel een achtzijdig traptorentje met natuurstenen hoekblokken en windvaan. De oostvleugel dateert uit 1705 en heeft een verhoogd middengedeelte onder schilddak. Vensters met roedenverdeling, sierankers.

Description
Diaconate house (Hof van Sonoy). The building, which originally goes back to the St. Maria Magdalena monastery and in 1744 was adapted for its present use, encloses with three wings covered by gabled roofs an inner courtyard, of which the fourth side is separated from the Nieuwe Sloot by a gate and an early 17th-century ashlar small gate with pilasters and triangular pediment. The western wing is covered by two parallel gabled roofs, which on the side of the Nieuwe Sloot end against two facades: the left one a stepped gable with pinacles on sculptured corbels and moulded ashlar drip mouldings, the right one a mutilated stepped gable with remnants of a late Gothic water gate and relieving arches of former windows. In the corner between west and north wing an eight-sided stair tower with ashlar corner blocks and weathervane. The east wing dates from 1705 and has a raised central section under hipped roof. Windows with glazing bars, ornamental wall anchors.
