Introduction

WOODEN ARTILLERY STORE, as a non-bomb-proof building for storage of materiel on the landhoofd on the gorge side of Fort De Gagel. A store appears at this location on a drawing of the fort from 1880; other data indicates the construction year 1904. This therefore concerns an example from shortly after 1900 or earlier.
