Onderdeel 10. IJskelder met Prieel.
IJSKELDER met PRIEEL behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Soestdijk. In het park ligt een ijskelder gebouwd in 1850 in opdracht van koningin-moeder Anna Paulowna door S.A. van Lunteren. De ijskelder is ondergebracht in een kunstmatig opgeworpen heuvel met in de noordzijde de toegang bestaande uit houten opgeklampte deuren in een gemetselde keermuur met afgeschuinde vleugelmuren, versterkt met natuurstenen hoekblokken en voorzien van een gevelsteen met het stichtingsjaar. Een lange gang met twee compartimenten leidt naar een stenen dubbelwandig koepelgewelf. De koepel kan van bovenaf worden gevuld middels een vulopening, welke zich bevindt in een open tuinhuisje voorzien van een rond, rieten puntdak dat rust op vijf schoren van elk drie ruwe stammen. Het prieel beschermt de vulopening tegen de zon. Vanaf de heuvel loopt een zichtlijn naar het paleis.

- de architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een ijskelder met prieel ui 1850 alsmede van belang in het oeuvre van Van Lunteren;

Component 10. Ice Cellar with Pavilion.
ICE CELLAR with PAVILION belonging to the historical country estate Soestdijk. In the park lies an ice cellar built in 1850 on behalf of Queen Mother Anna Paulowna by S.A. van Lunteren. The ice cellar is housed in an artificially raised mound with on the north side the entrance consisting of wooden clamped doors in a brick retaining wall with bevelled wing walls, strengthened with natural stone corner blocks and provided with a facade stone bearing the founding year. A long corridor with two compartments leads to a stone double-walled barrel vault. The vault can be filled from above by means of a filling opening, which is located in an open garden pavilion provided with a round, thatched pointed roof resting on five struts of each three rough logs. The pavilion protects the filling opening against the sun. From the mound a sight line runs towards the palace.
