Onderdeel 6. Oranjerie.
ORANJERIE behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Soestdijk. In het park staat een wit gepleisterde oranjerie gebouwd in Empirestijl in 1884 door L.H. Eberson in opdracht van koning Willem III. Het op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken pand bestaat uit één bouwlaag met lage natuurstenen plint onder een met leien gedekt mansardedak. De symmetrisch ingedeelde voorgevel heeft negen vensterassen met in het midden een driekantige uitbouw. De alleen aan de zuidzijde aangebrachte deuren bezitten een asymmetrische roedenverdeling en een geprofileerde omlijsting. Bij de beide uiterste traveeën zijn elk twee pilasters aangebracht. Een kroonlijst sluit de gevel af. De overige gevels zijn blind uitgevoerd. Aan de achterzijde bevindt zich een aangekapte houten aanbouw onder een lessenaarsdak en met inwendig een half Philibertspant. Ten behoeve van de openstelling voor het publiek heeft de oranjerie een horecafunctie gekregen en zijn verschillende onderdelen toegevoegd dan wel gemoderniseerd. Tevens is de schuur achter de oranjerie nagenoeg geheel vernieuwd en heringericht.

Description
Component 6. Orangery.
ORANGERY belonging to the historical country estate Soestdijk. In the park stands a white-plastered orangery built in Empire style in 1884 by L.H. Eberson on commission of King William III. The building constructed on a rectangular ground plan consists of one storey with low natural stone plinth beneath a mansard roof covered with slate. The symmetrically arranged front elevation has nine window bays with in the centre a triangular projection. The doors, installed only on the south side, possess an asymmetrical glazing bar pattern and a profiled frame. At both outer bays two pilasters are each applied. A cornice closes the elevation. The remaining elevations are executed blank. At the rear is an attached wooden extension under a lean-to roof and with inside a half Philibert truss. For the purpose of opening to the public, the orangery has been given a catering function and various components have been added or modernized. Also, the barn behind the orangery has been almost entirely renewed and refitted.
