Omschrijving
Het TOEGANGSHEK (1908) is gelegen aan de Westzeedijk en geeft toegang tot de noordelijke entree van Het Park, de vroegere hoofdingang van stadspark. Het toegangshek bestaat uit twee hoge natuurstenen pijlers met gestileerde decoraties en aan weerszijden de wapenschilden van de gemeentes Rotterdam en Delfshaven, waartussen ijzeren draaihekken en twee lagere natuurstenen hekpijlers ter afsluiting van de vaste hekdelen. De hoge hekpijlers zijn voorzien van sierbekroningen.
Waardering
TOEGANGSHEK (1908) van het stadspark Het Park, van algemeen belang vanwege de gaafheid en de ouderdom, vanwege de architectonische vormgeving, en vanwege de functioneel-ruimtelijke relatie met de parkaanleg als karakteristiek markeringspunt van de voormalige hoofdentree van het park.

Description
The ENTRANCE GATE (1908) is located at the Westzeedijk and provides access to the northern entrance of Het Park, the former main entrance to the municipal park. The entrance gate consists of two tall natural stone piers with stylised decorations and on either side the coats of arms of the municipalities Rotterdam and Delfshaven, between which are iron swing gates and two lower natural stone gate piers for closure of the fixed gate sections. The tall gate piers are equipped with ornamental crowning features.
