Omschrijving onderdeel 8:
Voormalig PORTIERSHUIS behorende bij de historische buitenplaats Vanenburg. Aan het begin van de Vanenburgerallee staat een op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken woning uit de vierde kwart van de 19de eeuw. De haaks op elkaar staande bakstenen bouwlichamen bestaan uit anderhalve bouwlaag onder flauw hellende zadeldaken met ruim overstek voorzien van windveren; dakkapel met steekkap en siersnijwerk. Schoorsteen op de nok. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in afwisselend rode en gele stroken baksteen en kennen een asymmetrische indeling. Tegen de rechterzijde een verdiepingloze aanbouw van latere datum waarin de voordeur. Gewijzigde vensters. Gietijzeren muurankers.

Former PORTER'S LODGE belonging to the historic country estate Vanenburg. At the beginning of the Vanenburgerallee stands a dwelling erected on a rectangular ground plan from the fourth quarter of the 19th century. The brick building masses set at right angles to each other consist of one and a half storeys beneath gently pitched gabled roofs with generous overhang furnished with wind braces; roof dormer with catslide roof and ornamental carving. Chimney on the ridge. The façades are constructed in alternating stripes of red and yellow brick and have an asymmetrical arrangement. Against the right side a one-storey extension of later date containing the front door. Altered windows. Cast-iron wall anchors.
