Omschrijving onderdeel 5:
TUINMANSWONING behorende bij de historische buitenplaats Vanenburg. Ten zuidoosten van het huis staat een witgepleisterde tuinmanswoning uit 1870. De op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken tuinmanswoning met donkere plint bestaat uit één bouwlaag onder een, met rode verbeterde Hollandse pannen (oorspronkelijke met zinken leien gedekt) gedekt zadeldak met overstek en bewerkte windveren. Op het dak staat een gemetselde schoorsteen met rookkap en windvaan. Geblokte hoeklisenen. De voorgevel (noord) heeft centraal een rechthoekig uitgebouwd portaal onder een zadeldakje. In het portaal is de toegangsdeur met tweeruits bovenlicht en een halfrond topvenster, aan weerszijden hiervan een meerruitsvenster (oorspronkelijk schuif- thans klapvenster). De kopse gevels zijn identiek vormgegeven met één vensteras voorzien van een samengesteld meerruitsvenster en in de top een zogenoemd Serliana of Venetiaans venster met gietijzeren ruitroeden. Bij een restauratie 1973 is het INTERIEUR vernieuwd, doch de ruimte-indeling is bewaard gebleven evenals de kapconstructie. Toegang door dubbel smeedijzeren draaihek tussen witgepleisterde pijlers met verdiepte velden en uitkragende afdekplaten bekroond door pijnappels.

GARDENER'S COTTAGE belonging to the historic country house Vanenburg. To the south-east of the house stands a white rendered gardener's cottage from 1870. The gardener's cottage built on a rectangular ground plan with dark plinth consists of one storey under a gabled roof covered with red improved Dutch tiles (originally covered with zinc slates) with overhang and worked bargeboards. On the roof stands a mortared chimney with smoke cap and weather vane. Blocked corner pilasters. The front facade (north) has centrally a rectangular projecting porch under a small gabled roof. In the porch is the entrance door with two-pane fanlight and a semi-circular top window, on either side of this a multi-pane window (originally sash, now casement window). The end facades are identically designed with one window area provided with a composite multi-pane window and in the gable a so-called Serlio or Venetian window with cast-iron glazing bars. During a restoration in 1973 the INTERIOR was renovated, but the room layout was preserved as well as the roof truss structure. Access through double wrought-iron swing gate between white rendered piers with recessed panels and projecting coping stones crowned by pine cones.
