(FAMILIE)BEGRAAFPLAATS behorende bij de historische buitenplaats Rust en Vreugd. Omstreeks 1935 werd aan de Van Ommerenlaan, in de wigvormige ruimte tussen de in oost-west-richting verlopende zichtas en oprijlaan een kleine particuliere begraafplaats ingericht waar de mevrouw en de heer van Ommeren, na hun respectievelijke overlijden in 1935 en 1946, werden bijgezet. Het ontwerp is uitgevoerd in Traditioneel-Ambachtelijke stijl. Aan het begin van het toegangspad dat naar de begraafplaats leidt staat een eenvoudig ijzeren rondboogpoortje met de tekst 'rust in vrede'. Het gebogen pad is landschappelijk aangelegd en wordt begeleid door taxussen en dennen. Sober uitgevoerd smeedijzeren spijlen hekwerk met klinknagels en art-deco stilering begrensd het ronde gedeelte van de begraafplaats. Hierbinnen staan twee sobere hardstenen zerken, een kunststenen siervaas en een grafsteen van een familielid. Op de zerken een tekst met houten reliëf: "Johanna Antoinette de Voogt geb. 1 juli 1896, overl. 7 aug. 1942" "Wilhelmina Alida van Ommeren de Voogt geb. Wageningen 14 aug. 1866, overl. (FAMILY) BURIAL GROUND belonging to the historic country estate Rust en Vreugd. Around 1935 a small private burial ground was laid out on the Van Ommerenlaan, in the wedge-shaped space between the sight line running in east-west direction and the drive where Mr. and Mrs. van Ommeren were, after their respective deaths in 1935 and 1946, laid to rest. The design was executed in Traditional Craft style. At the beginning of the access path leading to the burial ground stands a simple iron round-arched gate with the text 'rust in vrede'. The curved path is laid out in a landscape style and is flanked by yew and pine trees. Simply executed wrought-iron palisade fencing with rivets and art-deco styling encloses the round section of the burial ground. Within stand two simple freestone tombstones, a composite stone ornamental urn and a gravestone of a family member. On the tombstones a text with wooden relief: "Johanna Antoinette de Voogt born 1 July 1896, died 7 Aug. 1942" "Wilhelmina Alida van Ommeren de Voogt born Wageningen 14 Aug. 1866, died Wassenaar 12 Feb. 1935" "Philippus van Ommeren, born Rotterdam 28 Nov. 1861, died Wassenaar 10 Sept. 1946".
