Omschrijving onderdeel 22: DOORLAAT MET KEERMUREN.
DOORLAAT MET KEERMUREN, gelegen tussen de NO-hoek van de gracht rondom Overhagen en de vijverpartij in landschapsstijl aan de zuidzijde van Kasteel Biljoen. De bakstenen doorlaat voert vanaf de vijverpartij deels ondergronds onder het wandelpad, waarna het in een kwartcirkelvormige bocht in zuidwestelijke richting vertakt en zich tot een door deels rechte en gebogen rode bakstenen keermuren omgeven kleine vijver verbreedt en het aan de ZW-zijde van deze vijver zich in een rechte hoek in zuidoostelijke richting in een rechte lijn onder de openbare weg voert tot aan de gracht rondom Overhagen.
Het ensemble dateert uit de eerste decennia van de 20ste eeuw en betreft vermoedelijk een vereenvoudigde versie van de in oorsprong laat 18de-eeuwse cascade en doorlaat, die zich op deze plek bevond.
Waardering
De DOORLAAT MET KEERMUREN is van algemeen belang:

Description
Description component 22: SLUICE WITH RETAINING WALLS.
SLUICE WITH RETAINING WALLS, located between the NE corner of the moat around Overhagen and the pond feature in landscape style on the south side of Castle Biljoen. The brick sluice runs from the pond feature partly underground under the walking path, after which it branches in a quarter-circle bend in a southwestern direction and widens into a small pond surrounded by partly straight and curved red brick retaining walls, and on the SW side of this pond it continues in a right angle in a southeastern direction in a straight line under the public road until it reaches the moat around Overhagen.
The ensemble dates from the first decades of the 20th century and is presumably a simplified version of the originally late 18th-century cascade and sluice that was located at this spot.

The SLUICE WITH RETAINING WALLS is of general importance:
