Omschrijving
Historische TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG als onderdeel van de buitenplaats 'Sint Hubertus' naar ontwerp van H.P. Berlage gerealiseerd in de periode 1915-1920. De tuinaanleg is te onderscheiden in de formele, symmetrische aanleg direct rondom het huis en een meer landschappelijke aanleg rondom de speciaal gegraven vijver. De formele tuinaanleg aan weerszijden van het huis sluit aan bij de symmetrische opzet van de architectuur van het huis, de paviljoens en de keermuur. De oudste foto's laten een rechthoekig padenverloop zien en gesproken wordt van een invulling met rozen. Na de Tweede Wereldoorlog gaf Mien Ruys beplantingsadviezen, onder andere voor de Meditatietuin ten zuidoosten van het jachthuis, waar het beeld De Raadsman van Mendes da Costa staat opgesteld. In tegenstelling tot het formele symmetrische karakter van de tuinaanleg aan weerszijden van het huis kenmerkt de tuinaanleg zich buiten de directe omgeving van het huis door een landschappelijke aanleg bestaande uit een open vlakte aan de zuidzijde van het huis waarvan het aanzicht sterk wordt bepaald door de landschappelijk gegraven vijver. De vijver is langgerekt en strekt zich uit naar het zuiden en zuidwesten. De vijver had mede tot doel het gebouw erin te laten spiegelen. Het gedeelte aan de noordzijde van het huis kent een dichte begroeiing bestaande uit bomen waartussen de gebogen lanen. De omstreeks 1930 naar ontwerp van Henry van de Velde rechtgetrokken lanen leiden naar de toegangshekken van het huis.
Voor de beplanting rondom de vijver werd gebruik gemaakt van een afwisselende beplanting van blauwe of zilverachtige coniferen met lichte en donkergroene naalden, mede op advies van Th. C. Oudemans, eigenaar van het landgoed Schovenhorst tussen Putten en Garderen.

Historical GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT as part of the country estate 'Sint Hubertus' realised according to a design by H.P. Berlage in the period 1915-1920. The garden layout can be distinguished into the formal, symmetrical layout directly around the house and a more landscape-style layout around the specially excavated pond. The formal garden layout on both sides of the house corresponds with the symmetrical design of the architecture of the house, the pavilions and the retaining wall. The oldest photographs show a rectangular path layout and mention is made of a planting with roses. After the Second World War Mien Ruys gave planting advice, amongst other things for the Meditation Garden to the south-east of the hunting lodge, where the sculpture The Councillor by Mendes da Costa is placed. In contrast to the formal symmetrical character of the garden layout on both sides of the house, the garden layout outside the immediate surroundings of the house is characterised by a landscape-style layout consisting of an open expanse on the south side of the house, the appearance of which is strongly determined by the landscape-style excavated pond. The pond is elongated and extends towards the south and south-west. The pond also had the purpose of reflecting the building in it. The section on the north side of the house has dense vegetation consisting of trees between which curved lanes. The lanes, straightened around 1930 according to a design by Henry van de Velde, lead towards the access gates of the house.
For the planting around the pond an alternating planting of blue or silvery conifers with light and dark green needles was used, also on the advice of Th. C. Oudemans, owner of the estate Schovenhorst between Putten and Garderen.
