Inleiding
Voormalig KEUKENGEBOUW, deel uitmakend van het uit 1930-1933 daterende complex Quarantaine-inrichting in Zakelijk-Expressionistische trant en westelijk van het ontsmettingsgebouw gesitueerd. Het keukengebouw omvatte de (centrale) keuken en het magazijn.
Omschrijving
Op een L-vormige plattegrond opgetrokken KEUKENGEBOUW van een bouwlaag en een kapverdieping onder een met rode pannen bedekt overkragend schilddak. De hoofdingang, een dubbele deur, bevindt zich onder een betonnen luifel in het midden van de zuidgevel. Deze wordt geflankeerd door twee rechthoekige vensters met negenruits roedenverdeling. De noordgevel heeft in het midden, eveneens onder een betonnen luifel, een achteringang met aan de bovenzijde vlak onder de dakrand een strook van zeven lage drieruitsvensters. De westgevel heeft geheel rechts twee smalle vensters en in het terugspringende deel acht hoge vensters met kleine roedenverdeling. De oostgevel heeft een identieke geleding. Op de nok van het schilddak, aan de noordzijde grenzend aan de schoorsteen een eveneens overkapte en met pannen gedekte opbouw met een ventilatierooster. In het interieur zijn o.a. de nog aanwezige granito keukenaanrechten van belang.

Voormalig KEUKENGEBOUW als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het in 1930-1933 gebouwde complex Quarantaine-inrichting, van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde, alsook vanwege de ensemble- en situationele waarde in relatie tot de overige complexonderdelen.

Former KITCHEN BUILDING, forming part of the Quarantine facility complex dating from 1930-1933 in Pragmatic-Expressionistic style and situated west of the disinfection building. The kitchen building comprised the (central) kitchen and the storehouse.
Description
KITCHEN BUILDING erected on an L-shaped floor plan of one storey and a roof space under a hipped roof covered with red tiles. The main entrance, a double door, is situated beneath a concrete canopy in the middle of the south gable. This is flanked by two rectangular windows with nine-pane glazing bars. The north gable has in the middle, likewise beneath a concrete canopy, a rear entrance with above just below the roof edge a strip of seven low three-pane windows. The west gable has far right two narrow windows and in the recessed part eight tall windows with small glazing bars. The east gable has identical articulation. On the ridge of the hipped roof, on the north side adjoining the chimney a likewise covered and with tiles laid structure with a ventilation grille. In the interior the still present granito kitchen counters are of significance.
