KOZAKKENHUT
Midden in het wandelbos op de Plattenberg staat op een verhoging een van boomstammen vervaardigde hut, die geïnspireerd is op de voorbeelden van tuinsieraden afgebeeld bij Van Laar (1802): 'een tekenachtige ruwe hut van boomstammen met mosch tusschen beiden volgestopt'. De hut komt voor het eerst voor op de kaart van De Man (1805). Op de kadastrale minuut staat de naam 'de Kozakken Hut' geschreven. De hut staat op een cirkelvormig grondvlak, is opgetrokken van staanders, waartussen vakken met boomstammen en takken gevuld. Van twee gebogen stammen is een spitsboogvormige toegang gemaakt die uitziet over het water. Te weerszijden twee ruitvormige openingen. In de hut een cirkelvormige bank, eveneens samengesteld van stammetjes. Het bouwwerk wordt met een rieten dak afgesloten.

COZACK HUT
In the middle of the walk wood on the Plattenberg stands on an elevation a hut made of tree trunks, which is inspired by examples of garden ornaments depicted in Van Laar (1802): 'a picturesque rough hut of tree trunks with moss stuffed between them'. The hut appears for the first time on the map of De Man (1805). On the cadastral minute the name 'de Kozakken Hut' is written. The hut stands on a circular ground plan, is erected with posts, the spaces between which are filled with tree trunks and branches. From two curved trunks a pointed arch entrance has been made that looks out over the water. On either side two diamond-shaped openings. In the hut a circular bench, likewise composed of small logs. The structure is finished with a thatched roof.
