Omschrijving
PRIEEL 'RODE TENT' behorende tot de buitenplaats Overduin. Aan de oostrand van de aanleg, aan het einde van een formele dwarsas staat een folly, de 'rode tent' genoemd daterend uit ca.1780. Het op vierkante grondslag opgetrokken bakstenen prieel heeft rood gestucte gevels en licht gestucte omlijstingen onder een flauw hellend tentdak met obeliskvormige bekroning (schoorsteen). Recente dakbedekking en aanbouw onder lessenaarsdak tegen zuidgevel. In het INTERIEUR is onder meer van belang de oorspronkelijke trap, de balkenzoldering en de in de 19de eeuw vernieuwde kap.

Description
PAVILION 'RED TENT' belonging to the country seat Overduin. At the eastern edge of the layout, at the end of a formal cross axis stands a folly, called the 'red tent' dating from circa 1780. The pavilion built on a square ground plan in brick has red stuccoed facades and lightly stuccoed mouldings beneath a gently sloping tent roof with obelisk-shaped finial (chimney). Recent roof covering and extension beneath a lean-to roof against the south facade. In the INTERIOR of note are the original staircase, the beam ceiling and the roof structure renewed in the 19th century.
