Omschrijving onderdeel 2.
HISTORISCHE PARKAANLEG. De min of meer vierkante huisplaats met De Oosterhof is geheel omgracht. Hierbinnen bevinden zich het huis en de (niet beschermenswaardige) bijgebouwen binnen een eigen omgrachting die in 1825 (kadastrale minuut) al voor een deel aan de westkant was gedempt. Ten westen van het huis ligt een vroeg 19de-eeuws wandelbosje met vijver en ten noorden een deels met een tuinmuur (zie hiervoor onderdeel 3) afgesloten gedeelte: de voormalige moestuin. Op het voorplein staan een oude linde, en een rode beuk. Opmerkelijk element is het rechte laantje met rondgeknipte buxushagen dat in het verlengde van de oprijlaan vanaf de brug leidt naar de voordeur van het huis. De oprijlaan loopt vanaf de Enterstraat in een flauwe bocht en vanaf de Oosterhofweg in een rechte lijn naar het huis. Het eerste deel van de oprijlaan heeft een enkele laanbeplanting met eik ter weerzijden, het tweede deel links en rechts een dubbele eikenlaan in driehoeksverband; bestrating met klinkers (restauratiewerk). Min of meer haaks op de oprijlaan loopt de Oosterhofweg, met een laanbeplanting van linden; westelijk van de oprijlaan een enkele rij zuidelijk van de weg, oostelijk van de oprijlaan een dubbele rij. Ter weerszijden van de laan weilanden. Buiten de omgrachting ligt een wandelbos met overwegend rechte lanen, voornamelijk met eiken beplant, afgewisseld met weilanden. Het restant van de laanbeplanting langs de zuidarm van de gracht bestaat ten westen van de brug uit drie rijen oude beuken en ten oosten ervan uit drie rijen oude eiken. Er zijn drie bosweiden: ten westen, noorden en oosten van de huisplaats; ze zijn omgeven door bosstroken en kleine bospercelen; in de zuidrand van de noordwei staan enkele rode beuken. Ten zuiden van de Oosterhofweg en ten westen van de Kasteellaan ligt de open, onbebouwde es, een belangrijk ruimtelijk gegeven in relatie tot de aanplant van het aangrenzende gebied. Juist het niet-bebouwen van de es kan als bewuste keuze in verband met de aanleg van de buitenplaats worden gezien.

HISTORIC PARK LAYOUT. The more or less square house site with De Oosterhof is entirely surrounded by moats. Within these are situated the house and the (not heritage-worthy) outbuildings within their own moat system which in 1825 (cadastral plan) was already partially filled in on the western side. To the west of the house lies an early 19th-century woodland walk with a pond and to the north a section partly enclosed by a garden wall (see component 3 for this): the former vegetable garden. In the forecourt stand an old linden and a red beech. A notable feature is the straight avenue with neatly clipped box hedges which in line with the drive from the bridge leads to the front door of the house. The drive runs from the Enterstraat in a gentle curve and from the Oosterhofweg in a straight line toward the house. The first part of the drive has a single row of oak trees on either side, the second part on the left and right a double row of oaks in triangular formation; paving with brick pavers (restoration work). More or less at right angles to the drive runs the Oosterhofweg, with a row of linden trees; west of the drive a single row on the south side of the road, east of the drive a double row. On either side of the avenue meadows. Outside the moat system lies a woodland walk with predominantly straight avenues, mainly planted with oaks, interspersed with meadows. The remnant of the avenue planting along the south arm of the moat consists west of the bridge of three rows of old beeches and east of it of three rows of old oaks. There are three woodland meadows: to the west, north and east of the house site; they are surrounded by wooded strips and small forest parcels; in the south edge of the northern meadow stand some red beeches. To the south of the Oosterhofweg and to the west of the Kasteellaan lies the open, unbuilt common land, an important spatial element in relation to the planting of the adjoining area. Precisely the non-building of the common land can be seen as a deliberate choice in connection with the layout of the country estate.
