Omschrijving onderdeel 7:
Op het complex historische buitenplaats Leyduin worden in totaal VIJF natuurstenen GRENSPALEN aangetroffen, te weten:
A. drie met de inscriptie ROMSWINCKEL uit 1701. Het zijn platte stenen met langs de randen een patroon van in- en uitzwenkende profielen, op de basis een motief met een zich in de staart bijtende slang;
twee palen staan aan weerszijden van de noordelijke arm van de oprijlaan naar het hoofdhuis en één bij de oostgevel van de dienstwoning;
B. één met de inscriptie H tegenover de beide Romswinckel palen, vermoedelijk 18de-eeuws. Dit is een achtkante steen met een ingezwenkte ronde top;
C. één met de inscriptie I: VAN LOON uit het midden van de 18de eeuw, tegenover de duiker van de beek aan de zijde van de Vogelenzangseweg. Dit is een platte steen met ronde top.

De VIJF GRENSPALEN zijn van algemeen belang vanwege:
- hun decoratieve betekenis voor de buitenplaats;

Description of component 7:
On the complex historical country estate Leyduin a total of FIVE natural stone BOUNDARY STONES are found, namely:
A. three with the inscription ROMSWINCKEL from 1701. These are flat stones with along the edges a pattern of in- and out-curving mouldings, on the base a motif with a snake biting its own tail;
two stones stand on either side of the northern arm of the drive to the main house and one at the east gable of the service house;
B. one with the inscription H opposite the two Romswinckel stones, presumably 18th-century. This is an octagonal stone with an in-curved round top;
C. one with the inscription I: VAN LOON from the middle of the 18th century, opposite the culvert of the stream on the side of the Vogelenzangseweg. This is a flat stone with a round top.
Valuation
The FIVE BOUNDARY STONES are of general importance on account of:
- their decorative significance for the country estate;
- historical value as a tangible reminder of the successive owners of the country estate;
- the ensemble value of the spatial-functional relationship of the components.
