Omschrijving onderdeel 3:
Op een kunstmatige verhoogde heuvel gelegen BELVEDÈRE behorende bij het complex historische buitenplaats Leyduin. De belvedère is in de late 18de eeuw gebouwd, in ieder geval voor 1798, en vertoont de vorm van een zeshoekig gebouwtje opgetrokken in gotiserende stijl met spitsboogvensters en -nissen en kantelen langs de bovenzijde. Naar het schijnt is het gebouwtje van meet af aan als ruïne gebouwd geweest, waardoor er geen dak is.
Waardering
De BELVEDÈRE is van algemeen belang:
- als voorbeeld van een inmiddels vrij zeldzaam gebouwtype;

A BELVEDERE situated on an artificially raised mound belonging to the complex historic country estate Leyduin. The belvedere was built in the late 18th century, in any case before 1798, and displays the form of a hexagonal building erected in Gothicising style with pointed-arch windows and niches and crenellations along the top. It appears that the building was designed as a ruin from the outset, which is why it has no roof.
