Inleiding
Gebouw A1 ligt vrijstaand aan de noordzijde van de vroegere Deeler Buurtweg, rechts naast gebouw 11, ten opzichte waarvan het iets achteraf is gesitueerd. Gebouw A1 werd in 1940 gebouwd en is op macroniveau onderdeel van een grote militaire vliegveldstructuur uit de periode 1940-1945. Op mesoniveau is het onderdeel van een ijl complex van in esdorpachtige structuur geplaatste gebouwen en op microniveau onderdeel van een los gegroepeerde cluster gebouwen.
Omschrijving
Eenlaagse bakstenen SCHUUR op rechthoekige plattegrond en gedekt door een flauw achterwaarts hellend dak met kort overstek dat aan de voor- en achterzijde rust op houten klossen. Centraal in de voor- of zuidgevel een toegangsopening onder met dubbele opgeklampte naar buiten openslaande houten deuren. Achtergevel blind uitgevoerd en beide zijgevels voorzien van een onverdeeld venster. Het interieur, dat bestaat uit een ongedeelde ruimte, omvat onder meer een door een reeks evenwijdige, op ongeveer 30 cm afstand staande planken gedragen houten kap.

SCHUUR, van algemeen belang als relatief gaaf onderdeel van een uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog stammend en door de Duitse bezetter als onderdeel van een groot militair vliegveld opgezet legerkamp, vanwege: stedenbouwkundige, krijgs- en cultuurhistorische en complex- en ensemblewaarden, die onder meer kunnen blijken uit de voor de bouwtijd kenmerkende onderdelen en details, uit de in een kunstmatig opgezette esdorpstructuur en tot in de detaillering doorgevoerde camouflage, uit de samenhang van en met het totale militaire vliegveldconcept en de ruimtelijke hoofdlijnen en onderdelen van het kampement, uit de samenhang met het belendende gebouw, en uit de onderlinge verwantschap van de toegepaste vormen.

Building A1 stands detached on the north side of the former Deeler Buurtweg, directly to the right of building 11, positioned slightly set back in relation to it. Description
Single-storey brick BARN on a rectangular plan and covered by a shallow roof sloping backwards with short overhang resting at the front and rear on wooden blocks. Centrally in the front or south facade an access opening with double hinged outward-opening wooden doors. Rear facade executed as blind and both side facades provided with an undivided window. The interior, consisting of an undivided space, comprises among other things a wooden roof truss supported by a series of parallel planks spaced approximately 30 cm apart.
