Omschrijving
ZONNEWIJZER. In de tuin staat op een zware sokkel met zonnebloemmotief op alle vier der zijden een zonnewijzer in de vorm van een vaas versierd met festoenen. Voor elk der hoofdwindrichtingen is een wijzerplaat, geplaatst in een rond medaillon. Alle stijlen ontbreken. De uurlijnen zijn vaag te zien met een verdeling in hele uren. De zonnewijzer die sterke overeenkomst vertoont met de vazen op het toegangshek (onderdeel 5C), is een ontwerp van Ph. W. Schonck uit 1776. Oorspronkelijk stond de zonnewijzer in een hoek bij de buitengracht, later tegenover de oranjerie en sedert het midden van de 20ste eeuw op de huidige plaats.

Description
SUNDIAL. In the garden stands on a heavy base with sunflower motif on all four sides a sundial in the form of a vase decorated with festoons. For each of the four cardinal directions there is a dial face, set in a round medallion. All styles are missing. The hour lines are faintly visible with a division into whole hours. The sundial which shows strong resemblance with the vases on the entrance gate (component 5C), is a design by Ph. W. Schonck from 1776. Originally the sundial stood in a corner by the outer moat, later opposite the orangery and since the middle of the 20th century in its present location.
