Omschrijving
HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG (2). Het door een gracht omgeven Huis en voorplein worden omringd door een PARK in landschapsstijl met gazons met solitaire bomen en boomgroepen en met waterpartijen als de gracht rond het Huis en een vijver in de noordwesthoek. In de noordrand staat de oranjerie (zie hiervoor onderdeel 4). Dit geheel wordt omsloten door rijen eiken tussen de buitengracht en een wandelpad waarbuiten een buitengracht en een lanenstelsel van beuken. De hoofdopzet van het huispark volgt het ontwerp uit 1815 van Georg Anton Blum en de latere toevoeging van J.D. Zocher jr. (toegeschreven). Van de oorspronkelijke beplanting is een deel nog aanwezig. Het padenstelsel en de waterpartijen zijn echter sindsdien vereenvoudigd. Langs de vijver en langs de randen van het park voeren wandelingen. De opzet van het VOORPLEIN met de bouwhuizen (zie hiervoor onderdeel 3) is sinds eind 17de eeuw ongewijzigd. De invulling met het ovale gazon, buxushagen en bloemperken en klimplanten tegen de bouwhuizen dateert uit het eerste kwart van de 20ste eeuw. In het midden van het perk staat een zonnewijzer op sokkel (zie hiervoor onderdeel 7). Aan de noord-, oost- en zuidzijde loopt een LANENSTELSEL dat in aanleg dateert van omstreeks 1700. De lanen waren in de 19de eeuw met iepen beplant. Die zijn omstreeks 1935 door beuken vervangen. Loodrecht op het Huis loopt een meer dan drie kilometer lange laan, de GRAVENALLEE in noordoostelijke richting. Deze dateert uit omstreeks 1700. Ter weerszijde zijn in de 19de eeuw ter plaatse van een sterrenbos en een lustbos LANDSCHAPPELIJKE PARKBOSSEN met wandelpaden ingericht. Aan de noordkant ligt in het wandelbos, het Graenpark, een bosvijver met eiland en de privébegraafplaats (zie hiervoor onderdeel 8). Om de vijver loopt een wandeling. De aan de zuidkant gelegen koeweide uit de late 17de eeuw is als weideperceel nog steeds goed herkenbaar.

HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT (2). The house and forecourt surrounded by a moat are ringed by a PARK in landscape style with lawns with specimen trees and tree groups and with water features such as the moat around the house and a pond in the northwest corner. On the north edge stands the orangery (see component 4 for this). This whole is enclosed by rows of oaks between the outer moat and a walking path beyond which lie an outer moat and a system of lanes of beeches. The main layout of the house park follows the 1815 design by Georg Anton Blum and the later addition by J.D. Zocher jr. (attributed). Part of the original planting still remains. The path system and water features have however been simplified since then. Walks run along the pond and along the edges of the park. The layout of the FORECOURT with the utility buildings (see component 3 for this) has been unchanged since the end of the 17th century. The infill with the oval lawn, box hedges and flower beds and climbing plants against the utility buildings dates from the first quarter of the 20th century. In the middle of the bed stands a sundial on socle (see component 7 for this). On the north, east and south sides runs a SYSTEM OF LANES that dates from around 1700 in its layout. The lanes were planted with elms in the 19th century. These were replaced by beeches around 1935. A lane more than three kilometres long runs perpendicular to the house, the GRAVENALLEE in a northeasterly direction. This dates from around 1700. On either side, in place of a star wood and a pleasure wood in the 19th century, LANDSCAPED PARK WOODS with walking paths were laid out. On the north side in the woodland walk, the Graenpark, lies a woodland pond with island and the private burial ground (see component 8 for this). A walk runs around the pond. The cow pasture on the south side from the late 17th century is still clearly recognisable as a meadow plot.
