Omschrijving onderdeel 2: HISTORISCHE PARKAANLEG.
In het tweede kwart van de zeventiende eeuw kwam bij het huis Randenbroek een formele tuinaanleg tot stand die in het eerste kwart van de 19de eeuw met gebruikmaking van een ontwerp van Hendrik van Lunteren gewijzigd werd in een landschapspark. De grote waterpartij bij het huis werd pas in de 20ste eeuw vergraven tot een slingerende vijver met een eiland. Het park bestaat voornamelijk uit een landschappelijk gedeelte met een aantal heuvels waar lanen (met trappen) naar toe voeren, gazons, met (voornamelijk eik en beuk) beplante bosachtige gedeelten, slingerende (deels geasfalteerde) paden en in het zuidelijke stuk de voormalige moestuin met tuinmanswoning (zie hiervoor onderdeel 4), oranjerie (zie hiervoor onderdeel 5) en voormalige bleekvelden met Bleeksloot.
Het park is via drie hekken toegankelijk (zie hiervoor onderdeel 7). Vanaf het grote hek aan de Heiligenbergerweg leidt een gebogen, met klinkers bestrate oprijlaan tussen twee heuvels door langs het koetshuis (zie hiervoor onderdeel 3) naar het plein voor het huis. Aan beide zijden van de oprijlaan bestaat het geaccidenteerde terrein voornamelijk uit een met slingerende paden doorsneden wandelbos. Alleen rond het huis heeft het terrein een meer open karakter door golvende gazons. Aan de oostkant van het park, tegen de Heiligenbergerweg ligt een, door een waterloop van de rest van het park gescheiden, hertenkamp. Een rondwandeling voert langs de buitenzijde van de plaats, langs het water aan de zuidkant (de vroegere Bleeksloot) en de Heiligenbergerbeek aan de westkant. De rechthoekige voormalige moestuin in het zuidelijk deel heeft een symmetrische beplanting met haagbeuk en enkele fruitbomen en wordt afgesloten door de bleekvelden aan de zuidkant.
Waardering
De HISTORISCHE PARKAANLEG, behorend tot de buitenplaats Randenbroek is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch en tuinhistorisch belang:
- wegens de ouderdom;
- wegens de ontwikkelingsgeschiedenis;
- wegens de betrokkenheid van tuinarchitect Hendrik van Lunteren;
- wegens de functioneel en visueel-ruimtelijke samenhang met de gebouwde onderdelen van de buitenplaats;

Description of component 2: HISTORIC PARK LAYOUT.
In the second quarter of the seventeenth century a formal garden layout was created at the Randenbroek house which in the first quarter of the 19th century, using a design by Hendrik van Lunteren, was modified into a landscape park. The large body of water at the house was not dug out into a winding pond with an island until the 20th century. The park consists mainly of a landscaped section with a number of hills to which avenues (with steps) lead, lawns, with (mainly oak and beech) planted wooded sections, winding (partly asphalted) paths and in the southern part the former kitchen garden with gardener's cottage (see component 4 for this), orangery (see component 5 for this) and former bleaching fields with Bleeksloot.
The park is accessible via three gates (see component 7 for this). From the large gate on the Heiligenbergerweg a curved, clinker-paved approach avenue runs between two hills past the coach house (see component 3 for this) to the courtyard in front of the house. On both sides of the approach avenue the uneven terrain consists mainly of a walk-through woodland intersected by winding paths. Only around the house does the terrain have a more open character due to rolling lawns. On the east side of the park, against the Heiligenbergerweg, lies a deer park, separated from the rest of the park by a watercourse. A circular walk leads along the outside of the grounds, along the water on the south side (the former Bleeksloot) and the Heiligenbergerbeek on the west side. The rectangular former kitchen garden in the southern part has a symmetrical planting with hornbeam and a few fruit trees and is closed off by the bleaching fields on the south side.
