Omschrijving
HOOFDGEBOUW (HUIS EESE). Centraal op de historische buitenplaats Eese gelegen havezate, gebouwd in 1619 (volgens jaartal op ingangspoort), gelegen op een ronde omgrachte terp. Restanten van oudere omgrachting wijzen op een groot slot, dat er in de 14de eeuw moet hebben gestaan. Deze havezate die het eerste hoofdgebouw van de buitenplaats Eese was, is thans een verdiepingloos in rode baksteen opgetrokken pand onder met pannen gedekt schilddak. De gevels vertonen een onregelmatige venster- en deurindeling. Aan de zuid(achter-)zijde is de terp (vanouds) een stuk afgegraven en is aan deze zijde het onderhuis via een ingangspartij toegankelijk. Tijdens de ingrijpende restauratie van het huis in de jaren '90 werd aan deze zijde een historiserende aanbouw gerealiseerd, die vanuit het oogpunt van monumentenzorg van ondergeschikte betekenis is.

Description
MAIN BUILDING (HUIS EESE). Havezate centrally located on the historical country estate Eese, built in 1619 (according to date on entrance gate), located on a round moated terpen. Remains of an older moat point to a large castle that must have stood there in the 14th century. This havezate, which was the first main building of the country estate Eese, is now a single-storey building constructed in red brickwork under a hipped roof covered with tiles. The facades display an irregular arrangement of windows and doors. On the south (rear) side the terpen has been (traditionally) partially excavated and on this side the lower storey is accessible via an entrance section. During the major restoration of the house in the 1990s, a historicising extension was realised on this side, which from the perspective of monument conservation is of subordinate importance.
